Summary/Abstract: The contribution deals with the original animation creation in connection with the fiftiethanniversary of the formation of the Slovak film animation. After the explanation of the basic characteristics of the animation creation there are presented selected titles of the 1960s and1970s and a brief profile of the creators associated with the period. Part of the contributionfocuses on the definition of the audiences of animated texts, bedtime story production, andissue of the message and the value of the original animation creation for the current generation.
