Summary/Abstract: In the beginning of the paper the author defines a problem, gives the definitions of theconcepts a “non-equivalent word”, a “lexical gap" and "gapping". The central part of thepaper is dedicated to the selected study subject: Russian PR-gaps on the English languagebackground. The author makes an attempt to analyze the Public Relations gaps on the basis ofthe classification offered by Z. D. Popova, I. А. Sternin, M. А. Sternina. The important part ofthis paper is devoted to the methods of the cross-language PR-gaps discovery and the ways oflexical gaps filling. Тhe problem of a concept and a non-equivalent word correlation isconsidered and numerous examples from PR sphere are given.
