Dialogic communication as the way of the weather forecasts in radio news

Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on the presentation of the weather in the broadcast of Slovak public andcommercial radio media, which is gaining an important role and a detailed view dedicated totargeted news coverage of weather and its specialized programs in the current medialandscape. The article, through methods of observation and stylistic interpretation, describesthe way of implementing weather reports and to interpret the underlying motivation of mediapresenters during the reporting processes to meet the communicative goals of the media – tointensify the mutual contact between communicants. In the currently preferred dialogic formof the media unit, it analyses the high frequency of the weather forecast programs thatindicates the association between the intimate relation created in weather reports and hapticand dialogical tendencies of today’s weather forecasts in the radio news.
