Summary/Abstract: The experience of Nazism has taken its place in history as the most radical forms of evil became a usual part of everyday life and a sort of inhumanity, exceeding the comprehension capacity of a person is embodied. Historical experiences show that there is no limit to evil under the conditions of war when the law is suspended and times of crisis in which the individual has to make critical decisions to save himself. On the other side, resistance of the good means a major rejection of the eternal victory of the evil. The examples in which one has the responsibility of advocating the most basic human right, right to life, in all circumstances and that he can establish the capacity to initiate something new, being aware of one’s ethical boundaries, brings to mind the balance of good and evil. Keeping in mind the unpredictableness of the good and evil, in this article, through the main characters of the film Krugovi (Circles), it is aimed to conduct a discussion about the ethical responsibility of the individual to the other in response to the devastation caused by the politics of violence walking around the subjects such as heroism, evil, forgiveness and mourning. The narrative elements of Film are also figured out in relation to these subjects. Due to the fact that the Film is based on a real-life event, the analyses also include the story of Bosnian Serb Srdjan Aleksic, who sacrificed his own life for the favour of his neighbour and the experiences of Bosnian War through the connections to the Film.
