Summary/Abstract: Starting from the periods before Christ where has become one of the region that the mainland of the Turks is The Azerbaijan and The Caucasus. Of the region to become a Turkish mainland, especially in the time of Seljuk Sultan Alp Arslan, with the Turkish settlement movement is completed. After the showing signs of the fragmentation of Turkish domination in Azerbaijan,the Russians began to compress the Azerbaijani Khans by making agreement with the Armenians who live in Turkish domination in the Ottoman Empire and Iran. After the Russians occupied the Azerbaijani Khanates the Gülistan Treaty was signed between the two states on the defeat of the Iranian armies in the war between Iran and the Russians.
