Summary/Abstract: Durkheim’s basic concepts about social divison of labour and solidarity it produces, along with collective and individual conscience are addressed in the first part of this paper. Relevence of these concepts is tested and evaluated on the example of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s development in the last fifty years.
