Summary/Abstract: The oral (verbal) culture environment is a structure that protects its existence from, starting from the existence of humanity and the desire to communicate with each other, and has formed the largely symbolic symbol of humanity. As humanity's communication method changes, presentation, life, and context change also changes. This change in the presentation, have driven the transformation of the need-based technology and the use of verbal expressions have driven new environment over time. Legends, as in other genres, have undergone a narrative change within their context and have been moved into secondary culture environments with the necessity and the presence of technology. In this context, the point that will form the subject is that the expression after the transformation of the mass media reaches the audience through the 'media' and this term is expressed as 'ostension' in the context of an impression methodology in folklore. The term 'Ostension' emphasizes that the narrative methods may change as the narratives change according to the regions in the historical and geographical process. This term is introduced for the first time in language learning field by Umberto Eco,who was a semiotographer. Degh and Vazsonyi were inspired from this term. Degh and Vazsonyi developed this term by in the folklore and intended to show that the narrator is based on the 'demonstrator' element with the media. While what is believed is explained in the first verbal culture environment, believing in what is shown in the secondary verbal culture environment has become a subject. In this context, in the study, 'ostension', which has subgenres, (place of legendary narratives on popular culture) will be explained and examples of legendary narratives series such as Sırlar Dünyası, Sırların Efendisi, Sırlara Yolculuk.
