Summary/Abstract: In the present paper, the author compares an original text withits first translation (traduction-information) and its retranslations, that is awork of fiction written by Balzac and four Romanian versions. Theanalysis is based on a sample (meaning the title and the introductory partof La Maison du chat qui pelote), and approaches translation as a flexibleconcept full of traps for translators of all times.
