Summary/Abstract: In an attempt to approach language humour contrastively, thepresent contribution investigates three German specimens of linguicomedyin terms of humour-generating devices and subsequently submits to thereader various strategies for translating them into English and Romanian,with ample glosses on the difficulties encountered in the process.
