Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of presented paper is to identify and evaluate the relationships between the simple internationalization indicators and success perception by managers in Polish international new ventures (INVs). The statistical methods (multiple linear regression) have been applied to data collected through a questionnaire (CATI technique) from two representative samples of Polish small- and medium-sized born global type enterprises. The obtained results allowed to state the lack of coherent pattern of correlations between internationalization degree (measured by simple indicators: number of foreign markets, scope and forms of entry strategy) and perceived success of Polish INVs. However, the only positive relation – in both samples – has been observed for “international competences of executive board” and success on foreign markets.
