Summary/Abstract: The article adds to the research on taboo in the field of Sacral and Unholy and deals with the positioning of curse and blessing between sacral and unholy taboo. Based on the idea of different kinds of taboo (taboo of fear, taboo of delicacy, taboo of propriety, taboo of social tact and taboo of esthetic feeling) a similar classification is offered with regards to two cultural phenomena - blessing and curse, which are depicted as two opposing entities. This classification is used to discuss different groups of curses with examples form Bulgarian and German.
