Summary/Abstract: The continuing conflict between Ukraine and Russia about the Crimean referendum on 16 March 2014 and months after that is in the focus of the media in all over the world. In its position, the EU expresses solidarity with the US and accuses the Russian policy in an assistance and support for the separatists in the eastern Ukraine and for the transformation of Ukraine in an explosive area. The present article seeks an answer to the question about the objectivity and the way information about the Maidan protest movement in Kiev is presented in the two German online media, zeit.de andfaz.net.
