Summary/Abstract: Although teaching Polish as a foreign language (didactics of Polish language) has been present in the Polish scientific mind for about forty years, it is difficult to find publications that would constitute a summary and assessment of its evolution. The majority of researchers have concentrated so far on fragments of its development but have not undertaken the effort of compiling all synthetic papers exhibiting how the entire discipline works. There are, however, several publications, whose main aim has been to prepare summaries, focusing on the problem from different perspectives. One of them is “Glottodydaktyka polonistyczna...” by W.T. Miodunka from 2016. This article is a polemic discussion with the concept as well as themes which Miodunka has explored in his article.
