What Managers Really Do? An Emprical Study about Managers’ Roles in Bursa

Summary/Abstract: Although many studies focus on roles and profiles of the managers in the literature, the roles and the profiles of the managers in Turkish business system has been remained unexplored. This study aims to reveal roles of managers from Bursa based on Mintzberg’s managerial roles categories: interpersonal, informational and decisional roles. According to the findings that managers prominently play interpersonal (leader) and informational (monitor) roles.
