Summary/Abstract: The semantics of the play in the novel Ivan Galeb’s Spring. The Play of Spring and Death by V. Desnica is considered from the aspect of the narrator’s creation of the “image of the world”: identity, perception of art, life, soul... The archetypal semantic fullness of the three plays the narrator remembers from his childhood are the vital elements in the interpretation of Desnica’s novel.
