Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research is to consider the literary geography of the traveling which is taken from „Story about the carrying of the relics of Ivan Rilsky in The Rila Monastery” of Vladislav Gramatik in comparison with the real (with a different approximation to the reality) geography of the route. The next aim is to reconstruct the mental adjustments and the ideological motives of the participants in the procession and respectively these of the writers about the construction of a precisely definite religious and ethno cultural vision about the way. A vision which is representative for the community of the orthodox ecclesiastics (the educated Bulgarians as well) from the epoch. The research presents a presence of a conscious aspiration in the monks of Rila (respectively in Vladislav Gramatik) for coded carrying in the time of the memory about the Bulgarian system of state through Christian mythological traveling with the precious relics of St. Ivan Rilsky on the places which keep the political and folklore-historical memory for the last Bulgarian tsar of unconquered Bulgaria with his state-creative potential – tsar Ivan Shishman.
