State’s role in shaping economies’ innovation

Summary/Abstract: In the hereby article the thesis has been proved that the dynamics of breakthrough innovation isbeing influenced by the National Innovation Systems. Market as the regulatory of innovation environmentfails and state’s support in creating pro-innovation framework is needed. The concept of nationalinnovation systems rests on the premise that understanding the linkages among the actors involvedin innovation is key to improving technology performance. Innovation and technical progress are theresult of a complex set of relationships among actors producing, distributing and applying variouskinds of knowledge. Thanks to this feature they fit to any economy and cause their pro-innovationdevelopment.
