Summary/Abstract: From past to nowadays due to the developments of production technologies at ceramic tile industry, products and design of them have been changed. At beginning the decoration of tiles by brush application has started to design in a wider range by the potentials of screen printing, rotary screens, rotocolor and today ink-jet printing technologies, respectively. As seen from the ceramic exhibitions by the utilities of ink-jet printing technololgy, now tiles take part in our living spaces with their appereances as a very good imitations of wood, marble and natural stones. This technology provides production of tile at 57 m2/ min. and 360 dpi resolutions. Also due to the many conveniences it is accepted as a revolution at ceramic tile industry. The products or production technologies at ceramic tile industry is occasionally used as a tool for expressing themselves of artists. In this paper, that we understand the inkjet technology does not use in artist with lots of reasons and usage of ink-jet machines could be an alternative expression tool for artistic production is discussed and the experiences at application is described.
