“Solar Eclipse” of Dr Frantsisk Skorina

Summary/Abstract: The article comments on one of the characters which the Belorussian printer and doctor of medical sciences Frantsisk Skorina uses very often in the prints in the Bible published by him. This is an anthropomorphic image of the sun and moon which are united and for them some authors say they are a solar eclipse. On the basis of other similar images a conclusion is made that they are actually signs for the printers’ affiliations to a secret devoted society.
