Summary/Abstract: The research relevance stems from a need to improve the efficiency of independent work done by students through implementation of the principles of student-centeredlearning. The research purpose is to substantiate the method for organizing student-centeredindependent learning of students with the help of transformable academic course. The core idea is todesign an academic course that can be easily transformed into a learning format comfortable for thestudent due to its modular content having multidimensional structure of educational materialrepresentation. The paper describes an example of building the transformable academic course forindependent learning of Informatics discipline. Paper materials represent high practical value forteachers delivering student-centered academic course.
