Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the specifics of intergenerational emotional transfers at the micro-level interaction in the modern Russian families. The research was conducted with the useof quantitative and qualitative methodology. Based on the analysis of the research results, theinteraction peculiarities between different family generations – children/parents/grandparents –were identified in the following spheres of family communication: education, experience exchange, theuse of information technology. It is proved that emotional intra-family transfers between generationsare sufficiently intensive both in the descending (from elder to younger generations) and the ascendinglines. The factor enhancing the ascending emotional transfer is the specificity of the moderninformation society. In this society the representatives of the new, "digital" generation turn out to bebetter qualified to perform teaching, which is a non-traditional role for the younger family members.
