Interview with the Playwright Csaba Székely

Summary/Abstract: Csaba Székely belongs to a generation of Post-communist writers, who re-oriented himself from short prose to playwriting and has been working as a playwright ever since. Lilla Proics asked him about the evolution of theatre in Transylvania, the relationship between social issues and theatre and the possibilities given by liminal situations. The interview also touches issues such as the hardships of creative work, the formal and thematic limitations of commissioned writing, as well as the living texture of the material and conscious construction.
