Summary/Abstract: Lilla Proics reads The Seagull performed at the Tompa Miklós Company from the perspective of the cardinal questions of the drama - the self-re ective poetics offered by the emotional relation- ships between the characters and by the framework of the story. The emphatic component of Attila Keresztes' direction is the simple space created with theatrical elements (curtain, stage, stalls) - in which Chekhov's story unfolds in our close proximity.
