Summary/Abstract: The authors describe – basing on empirical data – the most important characteristics of religiosity of young Poles. They present results from their own survey conducted among Polish students, that support thesis about polarization of attitudes as well as individualization and relativization of religious orders in the respondents’ declarations and practice of everyday life. Findings allow to describe in detail the diversity of young people’s behaviour and opinions in scope of religiosity and morality. In the light of the presented data we can observe the gap between these two spheres. Religion is an important aspect of life for young people, but it determines to a small extent their behaviour which is compatible with the moral teachings of the Catholic Church.
