The Responsibility as the Value in a Social Work

Summary/Abstract: This article is an introduction to the topic of the axiology in a social work. A social work, as a professional, supportive and pro-social activity, appeals to and aspires to the realization of values. The purpose of this study, based on the literature, is to show the essence of responsibility in a social work. This category should be considered from the perspective of the participants in the social relationship − the social worker and the client of social assistance services. Such angle of looking enables us to recognize responsibility as not only theoretical but also practical problem.
