A Study on Social Capital Profile of Vocational School Students: The Case of Ordu University Social Sciences Vocational School

Summary/Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to reveal the profession of social capital profile of college students studying in high school. The number of studies in the literature on social capital has increased in recent years, college students have little or no number of studies formed the basis of the specific motive of this research. In the study, developed by Onyx and Bull and adapted into Turkish by Ardahan (2012) "Social Capital Scale", Gökçe and Ekşi Uğuz (2009) blended questionnaire that’s developed and new questionnaire, it was administered to 450 students studying in vocational high schools. As a result of statistical analysis, social capital hasn’t come a high level of vocational school students, contrary to expectations. Research from, vocational school students as much as possible of the scale used to determine the social capital profile of the many variables that need to host, but still it has reached the conclusion that it is difficult to measure social capital, which is an abstract concept. It is difficult to generalize to all university students study, but the research that was conducted on this issue, which contribute to the results obtained and is considered to be a step that enriches them.
