Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to teaching Latin in law faculties. Latin-language knowledge is important to students because the basis of modern law is Roman law and its institutions. Many terms and principles, e.g. in modern law of contract are Latin. The article also draws attention to the fact that Latin language teaching in the law faculty has some specificities and differences from Latin teaching in philological faculties.
