Summary/Abstract: Adult education includes all adult persons’ improvement possibilities in personal life. They are learning at school, at home, at leisure. One of psychological constant learning models formation is people’s, who take part in constant learning, motives. A motive is an inside effect cause. Succesion of motives, which regulate the activity of the person and correlate with the environment, is called motivation. Motivation is the whole of factors, instruments and processes, which guarantee a purposeful necessity. The development of learning motives is perspective. Affirmative evaluation, succesful learning show competence and develops self-respect. A wish to learn increases when the need for knowledge is understood. The research revealed that difference of learning motives in adult education among working participants and unemployed participants exists. The data revealed a statistically siggnificant correlation among self-esteem and learning motives of employed and unemployed participants of adult education.
