Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the 19th century, extensive reforms of the educational system in Prussia took place, which are firmly connected with the name of Wilhelm von Humboldt and shape the German education system to this day. And not only in Germany, but also in international educational contexts, Humboldt's concepts can be found again. In order to examine these references to Humboldt's work, this literary-analytical work, in addition to a few Western European and Asian countries as well as the USA, takes a closer look.
