Summary/Abstract: Nubuwwa means “receiving prophetic news from God, bearing them to people and mediating between people and God”. Prophecy is one of the three major topics of Islamic Faith with Unity of God (Tawhid) and Mead (eschatology). To get authentic and true knowledge on Prophecy it is obvious that we should look first at Quranic Verses and Quran’s perspective in itself. A Prophet is, first of all a human being just like those for whom he was sent. It is a requisite that he be an appropriate and followable model. In Holy Quran it is underlined that the basic duty for Messenger is to notify (tabligh) and being truthful, trustworthy, harbinger, warner, chaste, hardworking, patient and resolute are related with this duty. Some subjective and sectarian comments about prophecy are more famous than Quranic perspective. For example, there is no clear expression about the distinction between nabi and rasul or about the number of prophets in Quran. In spite of this there are some certain provisions about these matters. It is seen that these are not accurate when we evaluate them according to all of Quranic verses. In this article, we have tried to deal with such matters about Prophecy from the viewpoint of Quran.
