Summary/Abstract: The primary goal of the article is study the Polish translations of three lazzi present in the comedy Servant of Two Masters (Il servitore di due padroni) by Carlo Goldoni. The play that I have chosen to be analyzed is one of the most significant pièces of the Venetian master and thanks to that we have several polish translation of the text. In my analysis I will examine examples from five Polish versions from only one published in print (a rendering by Jachimecka was issued in 1957 by PIW) and four of which that have never been published (Trzciński (1921), Boyé (1927), Piszczek and Skibiński (1980) and Wasilewska (2015)). In the first part of the article I will show selected lazzi and in the second part I will study translators choices for it’s interlingual transfer.
