Migration Criminality: Experience of Socio-Psychological Portrait and Studying Behavioural Attitudes of the Convict

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the study of convicted foreign citizens of the CISwho arrived in Russia as migrants. There are the results of the analysis of the aggregate statisticalmaterial of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, statistical data of thejudicial department under the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, as well as results of asociological survey of prisoners convicted by the questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the researchliterature on migration issues, the authors consider the migration in the context of demographicbehaviour. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of migrants' behaviour in their homelandand in Russia before the commission of a crime. This made it possible to get an idea of the objectiveand subjective reasons for their migration, as well as motives of crimes committed by migrants.
