Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the interpretation of the competence approach towards ―Pedagogical Education‖ specialization; the specifics of pedagogical cycle disciplines teaching under the conditions of competence approach implementation is touched upon; the peculiarities of taking general professional competences into consideration while studying pedagogical disciplines and implementing some of the competences are revealed.
