Summary/Abstract: In time of increasing popularization of migrations of the Bosnian population, the question of the role of the migrations in the (de)construction of identity of immigrants and their positioning in the area where they (don't)belong, becomes relevant (if not necessary) subject of research. Fallowing the work of Homi Bhabha and, considering that the literature is an ideal medium to explore the compexities of identity in general, finding the instantiation in the „Book of my lifes“ by Bosnian and Chicago author Aleksandar Hemon, the work examines the challenges that immigrants face in another country (navigating between two cultures and finding the balance between them) and the impact of migrations on the (de)contruction of immigrants identity. From the work arises the conclusion that the process of migration and adaptation of immigrant into society where they (don't) belong, necessarily leads to construction of hybrid identities detained in the space between the two (or more) cultures.
