Summary/Abstract: In the school year 2015/2016 the National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements carried out the national, countrywide testing from mathematics and educational languages of the 5th grade pupils at primary schools. On the basis of analysis of results in mathematics we detected differences as regards the educational language. However, as regards the number of pupils, the differences were not considerable. In the paper we want to briefly introduce the history of national testing of the 5th grade pupils from mathematics, goals of testing and results of pupils in mathematics according to educational languages in 2016. The paper includes a comparison of the results of pupils who are living in multilingual regions according to educational languages.
