Activation of the competitive movement among performers on wind instruments in independent Ukraine

Summary/Abstract: The article tells about the importance of the competitions in the Flute Art of Ukraine. These are known in Ukraine international competitions as D.Bida International Woodwind Competition in Lviv, "Sribny Dzvin" Youth Art Competition in Uzhgorod, International Competition for Woodwinds and Percussions "Surmy Bukovyny" in Chernivtsi, V.Starchenko All-Ukrainian Competition for Wind Ensembles in Rivne. The conclusion is that the competitions for performers, involving young flutist, and which during the independence period of Ukraine were regularly held in the country, are extremely important for the development of Ukrainian Flute Art in general.
