Summary/Abstract: The archbishop Mečislovas Reinys took upon multidirectional activities: he was a pastor, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, professor, and martyr. He gave a lot of attention to the education of the nation, development of a person. In his articles he analyzed the issues related to the development of a person, conditions which are important to the process of the development of a person. Today the process of his beatification has commenced. The article discusses the importance of religiousness for the development of a person which reveals itself in the writings of the Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys.
