Summary/Abstract: The paper presents maritime writer Georgi Ingilizov’s (1955–2018) concepts, ideas and initiatives (editorial activity, filmography) related to the status of Bulgarian maritime fiction and its place in Bulgarian literature. The paper also traces the maritime writer’s creative path and addresses the main aspects of his maritime prose related to sailors’ values and problems. The text corresponds to an interview with the author, published in this issue.
