Summary/Abstract: The oeuvre of the poet who died during the persecution of Jews in 1944 has been ousted from the mainstream of the canon of Hungarian poetry. The young critic’s lecture approaches Radnóti’s poetry from the justification of the much disapproved cultic interpretations, examining the creation of the poet’s face, the poet’s personality in the context of the history of reception.
