Summary/Abstract: Wars and struggles with Russia constitute an important part of Ottoman history. The subject of this study is the formation of the eastern borders of Ottoman Empire, which was formed by the advance of Russia to the south as a result of the struggles of the Ottoman State with Russia in the context of Russia’s access to the warm seas and the Ottoman state’s northern politics In this study, it was explained how the Russian borders enlarged to the southward from the period of 15th century to the First World War and which struggles in Russian-Ottoman relations extended the Russian borders. In this context, policies of these two powers, wars and the treaties between them that signed and the consequences of these treaties were analyzed.
