Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to demonstrate the main features of the parliamentary system in the scope of recently restarting presidential debate in Turkey and Turkey’s more than a hundred years of experience parliamentary system is very important and must not be ignored. Most of the political problems that Turkey faces are not caused by stem from the government system, therefore abandoning the parliamentary system will not help to solve the problems of Turkey. Instead of this, the weak parts of the parliamentary system should be improved.
