Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the challenges that the countries are facing in their antiterrorist battle. The main thesis of the author is that the measures to protect the human rights should not contradict the antiterrorist strategies. A balance should be established between the two. The thesis has at its core the analysis of two of the judgements of the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights in 2016 - Armani Da Silva v. United Kingdom and Ibrahim and Others v. United Kingdom.
