Symbols in the works of Ukrainian artists of 1990-2000

Summary/Abstract: In the XX and XXI centuries the return to studying of common for all humanity oldest graphic proto-language and its elements becomes notable. Appeal to it of the artists of different generations and artistic preferences displays the desire to find a laconic and comprehensive system of concepts, an attempt to update, enrich plastic and figurative language; however, the level of comprehension and application differs in the works of these authors. The usage of the ancient symbols in the oeuvre of artists leads to their transformation, creation of the significant parallels, variations of solutions of the established motifs and enables the understanding of formal language, of the elements, creating more complex model of perception.
