Summary/Abstract: The article scrutinizes the aesthetic content and the main ideas of Roland Barthes’ and Umberto Eco’s poetics. The emphasis is laid on the importance of complementarity and the influence of Roland Barthes’ and Umberto Eco’s ideas. These ideas complement the modern poetics and enrich the semantic of culture polyphony.
