Summary/Abstract: The author presents a concept of organizational climate, especially the one developed by German psychologists Rosenstiel and Boegel [1992] and a questionnaire rooted in their theory, allowing to measure the above mentioned phenomenon. The tool allows to examine the employees’ perception of the basic factors, constituting organizational climate, such as management, organization of work, communication, motivation and career, cooperation and social support. The questionnaire was first translated into Polish and submitted to preliminary adaptation and validation by Augustynowicz [1997]. Then, the author of this paper conducted factor and reliability analysis, which allowed to increase the accuracy and reliability of the whole tool and its subscales [Durniat 1998; 2012]. The weakest items were deleted, making the tool more reliable and economical (reliability of the subscales measured in Alfa Cronbach ranges from 0.81 to 0.90). In 2015 the questionnaire’s scales were normalized, basing on a sample of Polish employees (N=976) of different organizations. The adopted questionnaire can be used in various kinds of socio-psychological research in Polish organizations. It allows to measure organizational climate factors, as well as the relations between that phenomenon and other variables (e.g: work involvement, job satisfaction, employees’ commitment, effectiveness, workplace mobbing, absenteeism, occupational burnout, etc.).
