Summary/Abstract: Growing interest among players on business, administrative and NPO level in the phenomenon of sustainable development has led to the creation of a new group of professionals – corporate sustainability managers (CS Managers). So far, a few studies have been carried out on the subject and experience in this field is still relatively limited. This article attempts to fill this gap through presenting the results of a research concerning the profile of CS Managers in the surveyed corporations. Here, attention was focused on socio-demographic characteristics, responsibilities and tasks as well as the position of this profession in the organizational hierarchy. The article was drawn up on the basis of the literature review and empirical researches conducted among chosen corporations in the Czech Republic and Germany.
