IIS-LEACH: Energy Efficient Protocol for Environment Monitoring

Summary/Abstract: The article describes the use of self-organising, wireless sensor networks basedon Low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) protocol application and itsoriginal improved version, designed for environment monitoring. The changes in theabove mentioned protocol concern additional parameters and solutions related to thecapacity of the mobile power source influencing the optimal choice of cluster heads ina cluster. The results achieved confirm the better use of energy resources of the system,which increases the wireless sensor network lifespan.
