Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the artistic, graphic and literary tools used to transfer a classic piece of French literature from its original form to a new medium more modern, the one of comic books. This study aims to explain how the new product, at the crossroads of stage and book, results in a hybrid type of document that remains as faithful as possible to the original text. That second medium, of a visual nature as well as the staging of a piece of theater, incarnates the transition from one site to the other, an adaptation, a hybridization of the original creation.
