Summary/Abstract: In his usual column, "Dimension '80", Gheorghe Secheşan briefly reviews the work of a reputed researcher - Adriana Babeţi. Her translations and articles are mentioned in the beginning, making place for a more detailed analysis of the novel she wrote together with Mircea Mihăieş and Mircea Nedelciu, "The Woman in Red", work seen as an important European novel by reviewers all over the world. On the other hand,Ileana Oancea's article on Caragiale approaches a different dimension of Europeanness - the linguistic one. The short study refers to the life of the writer in Berlin and to his obstinate but humorous resistance to adopting the language of the natives.
