Summary/Abstract: Ileana Oancea continues her study dedicated to the letters of Caragiale; this time, she focuses on the writer's paradoxical feelings towards his two countries - he loves Germany but also stays nostalgic of Romania. The "corruption" mentioned in the title refers to the tastes Cragiale acquired from the Germans, the most important of which seems to be a particular love of flowers. Some linguistic issues connected to the writer's use of German are also tackled with by the researcher. The page also hosts the beginning of an anthropological study signed by Paul Eugen Banciu, to be continued in page 23 of the current issue.
